Photoshop Exercise #1
First, right click on the link below and use right-click save it into /exercises/nonweb. Note that it is a very large image. This will be your source file, and you will create an optimized image from it.
Image: Lyric photo
Open the photo in Photoshop (or other image editor). Crop and resize it until it is 600-750 pixels wide, and a reasonable height. Select Save For Web in Photoshop and save the cropped, resized photo in its best format with appropriate compression into /images. Name it according to our web filename conventions.
Next, create a logo file similar to mine from the Imaging/Photoshop video. Make it have a least three colors, including background. One of the colors could be a stroke, as I did with mine. Use different colors and word(s), and a different font. Make this image 150-300 pixels tall.
Save the logo file in an uncompressed format with layers preserved into /nonweb.
Trim the logo file if necessary. Select Save For Web in Photoshop and save the logo in its optimal format with appropriate compression into /images. Name it according to our web filename conventions.
Alter your test2.html as shown, but with your images. Place the logo into the header element (replace what was there) and the photo after the h3 element, but before the paragraphs.
